Guardian ad Litem/GAL Visitation/Facilitation
|
A Guardian ad Litem is a trained advocate who is appointed by the court to speak for the "best interest of the child." As GALs, we focus entirely on the child, advocating for special services, investigating community resources, and being the child's voice in court.
Our expertise is investigating, reporting, and testifying on abuse, neglect, or high conflict divorce issues.
GALs work as part of a team that includes an attorney to make recommendations to the court regarding a safe place and the services required for the child. Our GALs are an independent set of eyes to assist the judge in making the best decision for the child. Our entire Guardian ad Litem staff has experience working in the First Judicial District.
Our hearts and experience give us the ability to champion for the children who deserve a stable, safe home. We try to ensure the children we represent remain safe and that their homes are permanent.
